Injectronics began in the 1980’s as a business which serviced and repaired late model fuel injected vehicles. Managing director Rex Vandenberg, soon found the need to invest heavily in modern equipment and specialised training for staff. They soon became known as the fuel injection specialists within the automotive industry and began troubleshooting for many other workshops and dealerships within the Melbourne metropolitan area.
The manufacturers of automotive electronic components made the bold statement that these parts were a ‘non serviceable item’ and could only be purchased new. Motivated by the challenge of this statement, and the high cost of replacement parts, Rex and his brother Frank, with a wealth of automotive electronics knowledge, started to research and repair electronic modules on vehicles that were brought into their workshop. They soon had many inquiries from other workshops and dealerships to supply these parts, this led to repairing and stocking Electronic Control Module (ECM), otherwise known as Electronic Control Units (ECU's), so that they would be available on an exchange basis.
Injectronics is now Australasia’s leading supplier of quality remanufactured automotive electronic components. This has been achieved by continually developing efficient testing and repair procedures in the remanufacturing of its products. The continual updating of our electronic testing equipment has led us to develop our own fully automated Air Flow Analyser to test and calibrate Air Mass Sensors, Air Flow Meters and Mass Air Flow Sensors, as well as a Virtual Automotive Simulator (VAS) for the computerised testing of automotive Electronic Control Modules (ECM's) or Electronic Control Units (ECU).
